Call to Worship

Psalm 100:1-5 (ESV)

Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth!  Serve the LORD with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!  Know that the LORD, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.  Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!  For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.

All People That On Earth Do Dwell

All people that on earth do dwell,
Sing to the Lord with cheerful voice;
Him serve with fear, his praise forth-tell,
Come ye before him and rejoice.

The Lord ye know is God indeed;
Without our aid he did us make;
We are his folk, he doth us feed,
And for his sheep he doth us take.

O enter then his gates with praise,
Approach with joy his courts unto;
Praise, laud, and bless his name always,
For it is seemly so to do.

For why? the Lord our God is good,
His mercy is forever sure;
His truth at all times firmly stood,
And shall from age to age endure.

Worshiping God by Confessing Our Faith

 1 John 3:1-3

See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.  Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.  And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.

You Made Us Your Own

We were ruined in our sin, we were guilty and undone

When Your love reached down with sovereign hands

And beckoned us to come

You sought out the wanderers, made the prodigals come home

With a lavish feast You welcomed us

For You made us Your own

You have loved us like You love Your Son

We are heirs with Christ bought by His blood

Oh how great the love that we've been shown

We're Your children now You made us Your own

We are strangers to the world, but no strangers to Your throne

We draw near You now with confidence

For all our fears are gone

And when Christ our King returns,

we'll meet saints we've never known

And forever we will be amazed

That You made us Your own

You have loved us like You love Your Son

We are heirs with Christ bought by His blood

Oh how great the love that we've been shown

We're Your children now You made us Your own

Worshiping God by Hearing His Word

Acts 2:42-47(ESV)

                                                    Series:      Devoted

                                                    Sermon:   Devoted to the Fellowship

And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.  And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles.  And all who believed were together and had all things in common.  And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need.  And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts,  praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.

God calls us to be ____________ to the ____________.

The fellowship to which God calls us is ____________ ____________ than simply ____________ each other’s ____________.

The fellowship we have is ____________ in ____________.

This shared identity plays out in a ____________ to ____________ ____________ with one another.

So because of Jesus and by the power of the Spirit, let’s ____________ to ____________ in our ____________ to one another.

We Are God's People

We are God’s people, the chosen of the Lord,

born of his Spirit, established by his Word;

our cornerstone is Christ alone, and strong in him we stand:

O let us live transparently,
and walk heart to heart and hand in hand.

We are God’s loved ones, the Bride of Christ our Lord,

for we have known it, the love of God outpoured;

Now let us learn how to return the gift of love once giv’n;

O let us share each joy and care,

and live with a zeal that pleases heav’n.

We are the Body of which the Lord is Head,
Called to obey him, now risen from the dead;
He wills us be a family, diverse yet truly one:
O let us give our gifts to God,

and so shall his work on earth be done.

We are a temple, the Spirit’s dwelling place,

Formed in great weakness, a cup to hold God’s grace;

We die alone, for on its own each member loses fire;

Yet joined in one the flame burns on

to give warmth and light, and to inspire.
