Call to Worship

Deuteronomy 6:4-5(ESV)

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.  You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.

All Creatures of Our God and King

All creatures of our God and King,

lift up your voice and with us sing

alleluia, alleluia!

Thou burning sun with golden beam,

thou silver moon with softer gleam,

O praise him, O praise him, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.

And all ye men of tender heart,

forgiving others, take your part

O sing ye, alleluia!

Ye who long pain and sorrow bear,

praise God and on him cast your care,

O praise him, O praise him, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.

Let all things their Creator bless,

and worship him in humbleness,

O praise him, alleluia!

Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son,

and praise the Spirit, three in one,

O praise him, O praise him, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.

Worshiping God by Confessing Our Faith

based on Ephesians 4:1-6

We believe we are to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which we have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.  There is one body and one Spirit-- just as we were called to the one hope that belongs to our call -- one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

Bond of Peace

One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

one God and Father of all!

There is one body, there is one Spirit,

there is one hope to which we are called.

 One bought with one sacrifice

By Christ, our Savior and King!

 United to Him, we are His body;

Fullness of Him, who fills everything.

 Triune God, three yet one,

 Perfect God of unity,

Unify us in the bond of peace.

 We’re called to be likeminded,

 Humble, loving, and true,

As one in spirit, and one in purpose,

As those whom God created anew!

One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

one God and Father of all!

There is one body, there is one Spirit,

there is one hope to which we are called.

 Triune God, three yet one,

 Perfect God of unity,

Unify us in the bond of peace.

Worshiping God by Hearing His Word

Psalm 133:1-3(ESV)

Series: Unity: Out of Many, One

Sermon: Unity is Good

Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!  It is like the precious oil on the head, running down on the beard, on the beard of Aaron, running down on the collar of his robes!  It is like the dew of Hermon, which falls on the mountains of Zion! For there the LORD has commanded the blessing, life forevermore.

God calls his people to ____________ and ____________ ____________.

Unity is a ____________ from ____________.

Unity among God’s people is ____________ in ____________.

As God’s people, we are called to ____________ ____________ the unity of the Spirit we have in Christ Jesus.

One way of growing in unity is to see it as ____________ ____________.

So let’s ask the Spirit to ____________ our ____________ of how good and pleasant living in unity with God’s people truly is.

Worshiping God by Singing

Oh How good It Is

Oh how good it is, when the family of God
Dwells together in spirit, in faith and unity;
Where the bonds of peace, of acceptance and love
Are the fruit of His presence, here among us.

So with one voice we'll sing to the Lord,
And with one heart we'll live out His word
Til the whole earth sees the Redeemer has come,
For He dwells in the presence of His people.

Oh how good it is, on this journey we share
To rejoice with the happy, and weep with those who mourn.
For the weak find strength, the afflicted find grace,
When we offer the blessing of belonging.

So with one voice we'll sing to the Lord
And with one heart we'll live out His word
Til the whole earth sees the Redeemer has come,
For He dwells in the presence of His people.

Oh how good it is, to embrace His command
To prefer one another, forgive as He forgives.
When we live as one, we all share in the love
Of the Son with the Father, and the Spirit.

So with one voice we'll sing to the Lord
And with one heart we'll live out His word
Til the whole earth sees the Redeemer has come,
For He dwells in the presence of His people.

Benediction

May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
